Here are the details on tonight’s optional class trip/event at WNYC’s Greene Space:
The event begins at 7pm, we’re meeting there at 6:45pm.
The Greene Space’s Event summary:
Using tape and visual imagery, Brooke and Bob will plumb the depths of the deepest thinkers on the subject – Ethan Zuckerman, Evgeny Morozov and Clive Thompson among them – to explore the impact of new media and the internet on our brains, our social lives, our politics and our world. They’ll offer evidence for both sides of the argument: the one that says we face a cyber-Utopia, the other foreseeing a soul-shrinking Dystopia.
Then they’ll ask the audience to vote on it. There will also be great jazz.
